However, forty years later the Shogun outlawed Christianity and conducted the fiercest Christian persecution. Thousands of Japanese Christians throughout the country gave their lives for Christ. Pat Zukeran and a group of thirty toured the southern area of Japan. The next year they toured the northern areas of Sendai, Nikko, and Tokyo.
